Are You Stir Crazy Yet?

Covid -19 has hit Alabama. Along with our national state of emergency, our state, and the county just north of mine, has declared a state of emergency. These are crazy times and a little scary for those of us in the “at risk” category. My hubby is a DBA for an international company headquartered here, and his company sent him home with his computer to work from home until this passes. It’s nice to have him work from home five days a week instead of the one he is currently doing, but I’m sorry it’s for this reason. Thankfully, my stitching doesn’t bother him at all! He actually made the comment that he could not retire because he had to support my (quilting) habit!!

So, while we are self-quarantining, let’s have some fun! Please join us for the Quilt Qwazy Queens Blog Hop – Just Make Us Laugh, which begins tomorrow, the 18th and runs through Tuesday, the 24th. Our instructions were simple – just make us laugh!! My project is almost ready – just need to bind and add a few finishing touches, which should make you laugh. It makes me laugh just looking at it! And, it is SEW me!!! My friend Joan of Moosestash Quilting (who has a wonderful sense of humor and always makes me laugh!), is hosting this year. Here is the schedule:

So, since I am stuck inside, here is my TO-DO List for this week!!

  1. Complete my QQQ project.
  2. Cut out and begin stitching my block for a Fat Quarter Shop blog post coming next month.
  3. Decide on a design for the It’s a Garden Party row along hosted by Marian of Seams to be Sew.
  4. Design a quilt for our youth fundraiser.

Well, that seems like more than enough to get me through this week! Plus, tomorrow I will be helping my daughter (who is a speech therapist for our city school system) as one of the twins has an appointment with his lung specialist and my granddaughter has an orthodontist followup to adjust her braces. So I will be meeting her to swap out children so she doesn’t have to drag them all into the offices.

Speaking of Fat Quarter Shop, have you all seen the new HomeMade by Tula Pink line? I am in LOVE!! Check it out if you haven’t! I love most all of her lines anyway! (This is an affiliate link. See disclaimer below)

That’s all for now, folks! Be sure and come by next Tuesday for my post. In the meantime, stay safe, keep calm, and keep on quilting! I’ll be linking up today with Home Sewn By Us’s To-Do Tuesday Linky!

Have a day blessed with perfect stitches!

Hi Brenda! I am working from home like your DH. I can’t say I enjoy it but I am thankful that I’m able to. Good luck with your projects this week and thanks for linking up this week. I’ll be back for the hop. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi from Tuscaloosa:) Unfortunately, I have hurt my back so I can’t sit and sew as much as I like, but am making some progress on current machine and hand projects.
